In case you missed it, after several months of planning, a “straight pride” parade was held this past weekend in Boston, earning the scorn not only of liberal protesters but of their enablers in the media. One of them, the Boston Globe, expressed its disapproval of the event in its news pages, writing:

Outdone by numbers and noise from thousands of protesters, a few hundred marchers in a controversial Straight Pride Parade were jeered and heckled Saturday afternoon during a mile-long procession from Copley Square to City Hall Plaza.

“Shame on you!” many of the protesters yelled as the parade, flanked by hundreds of police officers, passed block after block of security barricades on normally busy downtown streets, which had been closed for the event.

Coming at a time when straight white men are the target of non-stop attacks by the Left, accusations that the march was all about hate seem misplaced, but liberals have always been blind to hypocrisy.

Cable Network NCEN reports that 36 were arrested, though “it was not immediately clear if those arrested were participants in the parade or protesters.” The article also notes that a massive police presence was required.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Among those who weighed in on the event was the ubiquitous noisemaker named Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who tweeted: “For men who are allegedly so ‘proud’ of being straight, they seem to show real incompetence at attracting women to their event. Seems more like a ‘I-Struggle-With-Masculinity’ parade to me.”

It was an interesting observation, seeming to suggest that real men are only real men when women are at their sides, which sounds incredibly sexist.
