Tiny bees were found in a woman’s eye, feeding off of her tears. CNN reports that doctors treating a woman in Taiwan for a swollen eye were shocked to find four tiny bees living under her left eyelid. They were sweat bees, which are one-eighth to one-sixth of an inch in length.

Parents whose children were shot last year at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School have filed 22 new lawsuits against the Broward County School Board. Also being sued are the Broward Sheriff’s Office and retired Deputy Scot Peterson, reports the Sun-Sentinel.

New Zealand’s parliament has voted 119-to-1 to ban “assault weapons” in response to the mosque shootings that killed 50 people last month. The ban applies to semi-automatic rifles and shotguns capable of holding more than five rounds. Citizens in possession of the banned guns will be granted a six-month buyback period, after which they will be subject to five years in prison if they still possess them. The law provides exemptions for pest control professionals and licensed antique gun collectors, reports the National Review.
