On Wednesday, a panel of mostly black commentators on CNN took turns firing off zingers at Trump supporter Kanye West. One panelist called the entertainer “the token negro of the Trump administration,” while another exclaimed that “anti-intellectualism simply isn’t cool” and that “Kanye West is what happens when Negros don’t read.” If the comments had been made on Fox News Channel, there would have been hell to pay, but this was CNN so we cool.
So what had West done to incur the wrath of his fellow blacks? He had accepted an invitation from the president to join him for lunch at the White House the following day. The mere idea of a “brother” breaking bread with a racist like Donald Trump was grotesque enough to prompt Democratic strategist Donna Brazile to express her fear that the meeting would inspire a return to slavery:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Lunch at the White House, of course, implies talk at the White House, and what West talked about, in a rambling fashion, was policing, mental health, manufacturing jobs, and more.
West took more heat from the Left for what they called his “stream of consciousness” approach to political discourse, but what really raised their hackles was the rapper’s dropping of the f-bomb. (It was the mf-bomb to be precise, but some shocked liberals have conflated the two on social media.) “Kanye drops ‘motherf—er’ in front of cameras in Oval Office” The Hill headlined its column, while Variety settled for “Kanye West Meets With Trump at White House, Drops F-Bomb.”
One especially noteworthy reaction was that of Obama adviser and lifelong confidante Valerie Jarrett who tweeted:
“Imagine if @BarackObama invited someone in the Oval Office who said M.F.” Preach, @donlemon!

Jarrett seems to forget that one of the hip-hop “artists” Obama invited to perform at the White House was the rapper appropriately named Common, whose lyrics include the mf-word and so much more. Here’s a brief taste:
Whatup BITCH? I’m Petey Wheatstraw
And you don’t stop, with the heidi heidi hoe
Hi hoe, or bye hoe, if you’re lookin for a sucker
(What are you?) I’m just another mother*cker
Pucker your lips, do flips like Mary Lou
Just because I f*cked you doesn’t mean that I’ma marry you
Bury you, I will do, after, I bill you
Kill you, hoe, cause your sh*t smells like mildew
Other songs by the rapper celebrate police killings, among them an ode to Assata Shakur, who is serving a life sentence for murdering a New Jersey state trooper.
This post should not be construed as condoning West’s f-bomb, which I find vile and inappropriate. I am opposed to all efforts in recent years to cheapen the presidency, such as Obama’s decision during his term in office to appear on late-night television. This was but the latest example.
The overarching purpose here is to expose the Left’s hypocrisy, which knows no bounds.
