In one month, Donald Trump’s Facebook engagement dropped by 45%: Can Zuckerberg explain?

In the two days of testimony before Congress by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, the question of whether his company was censoring conservative content arose several times. Each time, the 33-year-old tech mogul pooh-pooed the idea. Unfortunately, he was never pressed to account for specific blatant acts of manipulation, such as declaring Trump supporters Diamond and Silk “unsafe.”

Despite this, anyone who believes that the powers that be at Facebook are not engaging in politically partisan manipulation of the social media giant is not paying attention.

Conservative publishers know from first-hand experience the manipulation that is underway by Facebook, Twitter, and Google (which includes YouTube). It is a politically partisan war, the Left on an evil mission to ensure that only one side, their side, is heard. It is also an egregious violation of the First Amendment.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The brain trust behind these sites like to claim that they unwittingly abetted Trump in his rise to power — that he exploited their platforms in a way that catapulted him all the way to the Oval Office.

They flatter themselves. It was the message, not medium, that elected President Trump. Social media was only one conveyance of the message. America was hungry after eight years Obama for some leader to step up with an “America First” message. Donald Trump was and is that leader.

Now, the Left, which includes the vast majority of those who live and work in Silicon Valley, believes the only possible remedy to preventing another “Hitler” from seizing power is to corrupt their own systems to prevent the “message” from reaching the people. This is, of course, a gross violation of the Constitution, but it explains why the right-wing blogosphere has seen its traffic cut off, its voices suppressed.

No one is exempt from this manipulation, not even President Trump, whose Facebook engagement dropped by nearly half in a single month while the engagement of liberal politicians, like Liz Warren and Bernie Sanders was untouched.
