Suppose you’re a drug dealer, and one of your bags of coke is stolen. What do you do?

We have a new contender for the title of world’s dumbest criminal. His name is David Blackmon, and he is a drug dealer by trade.

That is how the 32-year-old Floridian identified himself last Sunday when he called 911 to report that a bag of cocaine belonging to him had been stolen.

Wait … play that last sentence back. He called 911 to tell them that someone had broken into his car and taken $50 and about a quarter ounce of cocaine from the center console?!

That’s what the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is reporting on its Facebook page:

Naturally police were eager to respond to Blackmon’s call. When they arrived, a deputy spotted some cocaine and a crack rock on the console and a crack pipe on the floorboard by the driver’s side door.

Blackmon was summarily arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and resisting arrest without violence. On Tuesday he was released from jail, presumably pending a date in court.
