Stephen Colbert says only thing Trump’s mouth good for is something obscene, libs go wild

Forgive me for devoting a column to the singularly unfunny host of CBS’s “The Late Show,” but how did Stephen Colbert’s obscene sputtering tirade over something as trivial as the president of the United States ridiculing a member of the mainstream media make it past the network’s censors?

What caused Colbert’s apoplexy was Donald Trump’s quip at the expense of “Face the Nation” host John Dickerson, whose show the president said he prefers to call “Deface the Nation.” Never mind the double standard here: that Colbert and his “comic” peers were more than happy to grin and bear it when Barack Obama took shots at Fox News and conservatives in general. The fact of the matter is that he crossed a line with his monologue, a clip of which follows. (A transcript of the lowlights appears below):

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

When you insult one member of the CBS family, you insult us all! Mr. President, I love your presidency, I call it ‘Disgrace The Nation.’ You’re not the POTUS, you’re the ‘gloat-us.’ You’re the glutton with the button. You’re a regular ‘Gorge Washington.’ You’re the ‘presi-dunce’ but you’re turning into a real ‘prick-tator.’

Sir, you attract more skinheads than free Rogaine. You have more people marching against you than cancer. You talk like a sign-language gorilla that got hit in the head. In fact, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin’s c*ck holster.

Liberal outlets, including The Daily Beast, are high-fiving today over Colbert’s attack. This tells you all you need to know about them — and him.
