You can’t say the content was totally unpredictable. Anthony Bourdain, a 60-year-old cook by trade with the mind of a naughty 10-year-old, has long delighted in what he calls “food porn.” He even posed some years back for a picture of himself stark naked, covering his genitals with an outsize meat bone. (Hey, an attention-seeker who had no qualms about eating a snake’s heart while it was still live and beating can dream.)
When viewers tuned in last night to see the newest episode of Bourdain’s “Parts Unknown,” which runs on CNN, they got something they did not expect: 30 minutes of hardcore pornography. And it wasn’t Bourdain’s underfed carcass, either.
The mistake affected viewers in Boston only. CNN’s television provider in the Boston area, was shocked to find that despite broadcasting the correct video signal they had pressed the wrong button, subjecting innocent viewers to 30 minutes of unsavory content.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
The public's been begging CNN to broadcast porn for 20 years and now that they go through with it everyone's upset? https://t.co/qjGcxShzSM

While it looks likely that this was an accident, it is interesting that the mistake lasted for a full half-hour segment. Also interesting is the fact that the Boston television provider had a pornographic button in the first place.
The 30 minutes of adult entertainment was fortuitously aired at a time when most children would be asleep, but it was likely a shock to many anxiously awaiting the newest episode of the travel show.
