There have been some rash predictions about what would happen to the U.S. and the world if Donald Trump were to become president. One common fear that has been articulated is that President Trump would start World War III. Another is that he would destroy the world economy.
In London to promote his latest film, “Alice Through the Looking Glass,” Hollywood A-lister Johnny Depp was asked by a local TV reporter whether he would support a Trump presidency. His answer was “no,” but he also offered up a dire prediction on the fate that would befall the U.S. if Trump were elected:
If Donald Trump is elected President of the United States, in a historical way it is kind of exciting, because we will see the actual last president of the United States. It just won’t work after that.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Depp went on to say he could never support the controversial billionaire real estate mogul because he “does not believe in that stuff.”
He apparently does believe in the stuff Barack Obama has been peddling for eight years. In 2009, Depp journeyed to the White House along with the cast of his first Lewis Carroll-inspired film “Alice In Wonderland” to join the president and first lady for a high-end Halloween-themed party. Interestingly, the event was kept very hush-hush until three years later because Obama was worried about the appearance of a glitzy star-studded bash at a time when the recession he promised to end was in full swing.
Transparency anyone?
