This column practically writes itself.
Beginning yesterday, while the city of San Bernardino was still on lockdown, long before local law enforcement or the FBI knew about the identity of the gunmen who callously murdered 14 at a social services facility, liberals were taking to social media in droves.
Most of the tweets leaped to the conclusion that the shooters, if not white supremacists or at least diehard Republicans, were also decidedly not Muslim.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Here’s Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsos:
Do conservatives realize that dead from Islamic terrorists is the same as dead from domestic terrorists?

Although authorities today are not much closer to ascertaining the motives behind the killings, they do know the identity of two of the shooters — Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik — and they were indeed Muslim.

Geraldo Rivera had this brilliant piece of advice for bitter clingers:
The key now is for us to be as outraged by San Bernadino massacre as we would be if Muslim extremists were doing the killing. This is terror — Geraldo Rivera (@GeraldoRivera) December 2, 2015
Then there was the blame-the-NRA contingent, which included presidential hopeful and former Baltimore mayor Martin O’Malley:
Horrifying news out of #SanBernardino. Enough is enough: it’s time to stand up to the @NRA and enact meaningful gun safety laws
— Martin O’Malley (@MartinOMalley) December 2, 2015
Naturally, if it turns out that Farook and his accomplices were motivated by radical Islam, expect these tweets to vanish.
