What’s wrong with this newly released DNC attack ad?

On Thursday, the Democratic National Committee released a new ad that loosely repackaged Hillary Clinton’s blanket statement earlier the same day that “Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people and have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.” [Emphasis added]

Obviously, Clinton’s comment is an over-simplification at best. When masked gunmen storm a luxury hotel in Mali in the middle of the night screaming “Allahu Akbar!” it doesn’t a Philip Marlowe to connect the dots.

But for the Democrats, one over-simplification deserves another. Hence the ad, which follows:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Did you notice anything about the comments made by the five Republican presidential candidates shown in the ad and about the message that appears at the 0:08-second mark (shown below)?

equating islam

It seems to have escaped the attention of the Dems who created this ad that none of the speakers in the ad equates the religion of Islam or all Muslims with terrorists. In case it escaped your attention as well, here is the transcript of the five Republicans:

Marco Rubio: We are at war with radical Islam.

Jeb Bush: Radical Islamic terrorism.

Donald Trump: We do have a problem with radical Muslims.

Ben Carson: Radical Islamic jihadists.

Ted Cruz: Radical Islamic terrorism.

All five speakers qualify their description of the enemy with the adjective radical. All the ad reveals, ultimately, is that the Democrats are not only in denial about the roots of terrorism emanating in the Arab world, but they’re liars to boot.
