Meet the lone GOP lawmaker to receive Planned Parenthood ‘blood money’ in 2014

Will Republican Congressman Richard Hanna be returning funds that he received from Planned Parenthood during the 2014 election cycle any time soon?

The question must surely be asked by the media in light of the recent undercover videos which show Planned Parenthood executives wining and dining as they discuss procedures and payments for trafficking baby organs.

The first video showed Dr. Deborah Nucatola, a senior director at Planned Parenthood, discussing the organization’s methods for disposing of body parts from aborted fetuses.  The video prompted a call for investigations into whether the group is illegally profiting from trafficking those organs.

A second video released today shows Planned Parenthood official Mary Gatter selling baby parts to presumed buyers because she “wants a Lamborghini.”

An analysis by the Daily Signal shows several New York lawmakers received significant donations from Planned Parenthood in 2014. The name Richard Hanna stands out, however.

According to the Center for Responsive Politics, the lone Republican recipient of Planned Parenthood funds was Rep. Richard Hanna, R-N.Y., who received $2,823.

Further analysis at Open Secrets shows that Hanna is the only Republican from any state, of either house in Congress, to receive funding from the abortion mill.

Here are the other candidates, all Democrats, many of whom lost their bid for election in 2014:

received money form Planned ParenthoodEd Markey, a Massachusetts Democrat, received the most money from Planned Parenthood, getting a cool $22,290.

Hanna, as we have highlighted here before, is a pro-choice wolf in Republican clothing, having voted to force pro-life or religious organizations to pay for abortions for their employees. In addition, he was the only Republican to oppose banning federal payments for abortion, and told attendees at a pro-abortion rally to give their money to Democrats.

In light of the recent videos, it should be noted that the sale of human organs, including fetal human organs, is a felony in the United States.

Does Richard Hanna want to remain associated with such felonious actions?
