Barack Obama is not the only person who thinks his administration has not been sullied by “even a smidgen of corruption.” New York Times “conservative” columnist David Brooks think so, too.

Brooks was a guest last Friday on “PBS Newshour,” where he commended the president for running an “amazingly scandal-free” administration:

I have my disagreements, say, with President Obama, but President Obama has run an amazingly scandal-free administration, not only he himself, but the people around him. He’s chosen people who have been pretty scandal-free.

Like Hillary Clinton, one imagines.

Needless to say, many of Brooks’s colleagues on the right were only too happy to remind him of some of the messes that occurred on Obama’s watch that he didn’t inherit, several of which remain ongoing. House Republican communications director Alyssa Farah provided Brooks with a checklist via Twitter:

And Tom Blumer of NewsBusters wrote:

For those who want a healthy dose of reality to offset the utter fantasies contained in the transcript above, Dan From Squirrel Hill’s list of 1,080 “well sourced examples of Obama’s lying, lawbreaking, corruption, cronyism, hypocrisy, waste, etc.” — dozens of which objectively fit the definition of a scandal (“a disgraceful or discreditable action”) – is here.

I haven’t scoured the list, but future updates should include Obama’s claim that he is “the closest thing to a Jew ever to sit in the Oval Office” and his equally delusional claim that he’s made the U.S. once again “the most respected country on earth.”

For those with the stomach for it, here is a video of Brooks’s performance:
