It seemed like a good idea at the time, I guess.
More than one Easter event this year has gone off-script. On Monday, President Obama was reading the Maurice Sendak classic, Where the Wild Things Are, to children attending the annual White House egg hunt, when bees began buzzing around the kids seated on the South Lawn.
According to the Telegraph:
Mr Obama told the panicked children, “Bees are good. They won’t land on you. They won’t sting you. They’ll be OK.”
Readers will be relieved to know that the children were grilled on what five things they planned to do to “be more active and live healthier lives.”
