Obama’s Paris no-show raises ire of fake newsman Jon Stewart (Video)

It’s one thing getting dragged to the tool shed by the MSM for another Stupid President Trick, but last night the left’s most venerated news source tore into Barack Obama for failing to attend the rally against Islamofascism in Paris or at least send a credible stand-in. The reference is of course to Jon Stewart, who sometimes claims he delivers “faux news” though one gets the sense that in his heart of hearts he takes himself seriously, wherein lies the real comedy in his Comedy Central show.

“How can the U.S. not be there when representatives from of such beacons of freedom and lack of censorship as journalist-punishing Russia was [sic] there?” Stewart half-joked.

“And of course no grand show of liberty is complete without America, the country that invented freedom. That’s why President Obama was there, front and center,” he continued, before airing news reports noting Obama’s very conspicuous absence.

Stewart seemed to turn briefly serious, saying:

Unbelievable! An enormous global rally in supporting freedom of expression after an attack on a close ally and the U.S. was a no-show? It’s going to take a lot to make up for this.

He then sarcastically played a clip of a news report indicating that Secretary of State John Kerry would visit Paris at the end of the week.
