Molly Ball, a political writer for The Atlantic, had some harsh words for Louisiana’s Mary Landrieu and her desperate attempt to hold on to her U.S. Senate seat. Among other things, she introducing a Keystone XL pipeline bill last week that, if it gets past the Senate, the president is almost certain to veto.
Ball concluded on CNN’s “Inside Politics” Sunday that Landrieu’s last-ditch efforts amount to an exercise in futility and labeled her a “dead Democrat walking” to host John King.
Landrieu is throwing everything but the kitchen sink into her reelection bid. She even took out full-page newspaper ads suggesting that she’s pro-life.
Haha, Mary Landrieu is running faux pro-life newspaper ads in Louisiana. #LAsen pic.twitter.com/dYXk0MjYGE

The problem with the ad is that she’s strongly pro-choice. The group “NARAL Pro-Choice America” awarded Landrieu a 90 percent favorability rating, according to VoteSmart.org. So much for being pro-life.
