Greg Orman, Kansas ‘Independent,’ getting funded by guess who

Your first clue about Greg Orman, self-described Independent running for the Senate against Republican Pat Roberts in Kansas, should probably have been the breaks he gets from the media — whom he avoids, but without penalty.  When the media are covering for you and excusing your secretiveness, well, you know you’re a Democrat.

Oh, and Orman has contributed thousands to Democratic candidates, and explored running as a Democrat in the 2008 Senate race in Kansas.

But now the candidate’s bona fides as an “Independent” will have to go in permanent scare quotes, because the mask is off.  Way, way off.  Guess who is sponsoring a fundraiser for Orman on Wednesday (16 October)?

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Jonathan Soros, son of George Soros, and an active leader in the Democracy Alliance, which is funded by the elder Soros and sprays Soros cash at the leftest of left-wing Democratic candidates.  Washington Free Beacon has the story:

In addition to the $3.7 million the younger Soros has donated to Democratic candidates, committees, and interest groups, Jonathan is a highly active member of the secretive Democracy Alliance, a hub of Democratic fundraising.

The fundraising consultancy managing the event, the Katz Watson Group, represents a who’s-who of Democratic organizations and individuals, including the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and the Hillary Clinton for President Exploratory Committee.

Clearly, Orman is not someone the Soros machine is merely willing to gamble on.  Soros and Katz Watson aren’t going to throw their money away on someone who might actually have an independent streak.  They expect him to vote like a lockstep, down-the-line Democrat, from nationalizing and slowly destroying health care and education to expanding dependency programs, enlarging the unfettered powers of the EPA, and hounding gun owners.

Wake up, Kansas voters.  Greg Orman is not an “independent.”  He’s someone the Soros money squad is anxious to support, and that means he’s the most leftist type of Democrat.
