Hmm. How about that? Here well into the 21st century, there are still ignoramuses who believe that the Jews killed Jesus.
The ignoramus who appears in the early seconds of the following video happens to be black. You might expect a member of a persecuted group would want to get his facts straight. Then again, acquainting oneself with the facts requires at least a germ of intelligence, and this particular cretin doesn’t seem all that bright. For one thing, he gets Jesus’s manner of execution wrong. Jesus was crucified, not hanged. Secondly, the past tense of the verb hang, as in “to execute by hanging (by the neck),” is hanged, not hung.
The occasion of this man’s outburst is a pro-Israel rally in Portland, Ore.
Later counter-protesters in the video are arguably more civil, but equally misinformed. One man driving by the protest shouts out “Colonizers!”
