File this post under “Hillary Clinton enthusiasts say the darndest things.” Fox News Channel’s roving reporter, Jesse Watters, was sent out among the masses to learn what self-identified Hillary fans thought about the Benghazi scandal and whether it would be a stumbling block to her presidential ambitions (h/t The Blaze). The unsurprising answer is that some of them never heard of Benghazi.
It might have been instructive if Watters had played back this segment of Clinton’s interview on CNN, in which she says:
Oh sure, I mean you make these choices based on imperfect information and you make them, as we say, to the best of your ability but that doesn’t mean that there’s not going to be unforeseen consequences, unpredictable twists and turns. You know my biggest regret is what happened in Benghazi. It was a terrible tragedy losing four Americans, two diplomats and now it’s public I can say two CIA operatives. Losing an ambassador like Chris Stevens who was one of our very best, who served in Libya, across the Middle East … spoke Arabic. [Emphasis added]
