For Megan Pinion, who ordered two coffees to go from the Starbucks in the Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge, the symbols were evidently added free of charge. But Pinion, who is a Catholic schoolteacher, probably would have paid to have the symbols removed.
Fellowship of the Minds notes that Pinion was served the unusually decorated beverages on Sunday, March 30.
One had a star drawn in the foam, which Pinion conceded could simply be a star like the one in Starbucks logo rather than the occult pentagram. The other beverage, however, had a 666 drawn in the foam, which is a number the Book of Revelations links to the Antichrist.
Pinion was reportedly so upset by the crude (in both senses) adornments that she was unable to look the barista in the eyes, much less learn his name. She did, however, take a cell phone photo for posterity:
