There are no do-overs for those guilty of stereotypes. You make the statement, you own the statement. Much as MSNBC wishes this weren’t so, they get no credit for recognizing the stupidity of a tweet they posted earlier and have since removed.

Why exactly anyone is supposed to fist bump over an ad that shows a biracial family escapes me. I appreciate that this campaign may represent a bold, new direction for advertisers, but in a nation where one out of every 10 marriages is interracial, it’s hardly worth writing home about.
