DHS employee maintains website promoting race war against 'whites'

There are so many phony scandals plaguing the Obama administration that a fledgling blog has its hands full keeping track of them, let alone reporting on them.

Just minutes ago an item went up at LU noting that the Department of Defense traffics in teaching materials that brand conservatives as “extremists”. Now comes this (h/t @AmyMek):

WOH website

A Department of Homeland Security manager in charge of buying weapons and ammunition for the government is, on the side, running an inflammatory website that throws around gay slurs and advocates the mass murder of ‘whites’ and the ‘ethnic cleansing’ of “Uncle Tom race traitors.’

Ayo Kimathi, who calls himself the “Irritated Genie,” told his supervisors that the website was set up to sell concert and lecture videos.

But according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which blew the whistle on Kimathi on its HateWatch page (credit due!), the site’s content went far beyond concert promotion, warning about a coming race war. Called “War on the Horizon,” the site — which is currently down (quelle surprise!) — is said to declare:

In order for Black people to survive the 21st century, we are going to have to kill a lot of whites – more than our Christian hearts can possibly count.

A former supervisor of Kimathi at DHS told HateWatch that, “Everybody is [sic] the office is afraid of him” and that his co-workers are “afraid he will come in with a gun and someday go postal.”

In order to engage in extracurricular activities, including maintaining a website, employees of federal law enforcement agencies are required to get their department to sign off on the project. According to the SPLC, Kimathi obtained the necessary clearance, but did so by misrepresenting the true nature of his website.

Gillian Christensen, a spokeswoman for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the branch of DHS for which Kimathi works, said in a written statement:

[The agency] does not condone any type of hateful rhetoric or advocacy of violence of any kind against anyone. Every ICE employee is held to the highest standard of professional and ethical conduct. Accusations of misconduct are investigated thoroughly and if substantiated, appropriate actions in taken.

It is still not known what disciplinary actions, if any, will be taken against Kimathi.
