A man whose mother perished in the terrorist attacks of 9/11 felt impelled to use the solemn occasion of remembering the woman who gave him life to implore the Left to stop using the victims to further their liberal agenda.
Nicholas Haros, Jr. spoke at a memorial service for victims Tuesday, addressing his beloved mother, Frances Haros, praising her for “the abundance of love you gave me.”
“One more thing if I may,” Haros Jr. announced before concluding his tribute. “This year, a representative of the House referred to our loss as just another incident.”
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
It was a clear reference to Nancy Pelosi’s shameful remarks in which she downplayed the worst terrorist attack on American soil in history in an attempt to score cheap political points to defend open borders.

Haros also called out Cory Booker for politicizing 9/11.
“This year, a network commentator said the president’s performance in Helsinki was a traitorous act, as was 9/11, and last week, a senator attacked a Supreme Court nominee and called him a racist for alleged comments after 9/11,” he recalled.
His Supreme Court mention was another clear reference, this time to the self-proclaimed “Spartacus” of the Congress who released already cleared committee documents showing nominee Brett Kavanaugh opposed racial profiling in the wake of 9/11.

Haros finally beseeched the liberal media to stop using the victims of 9/11 to score political points.
“Please stop using the bones and ashes of our loved ones as props in your political theater,” he pleaded. “Their lives and sacrifices and death are worth so much more. Let’s not trivialize them or us. It hurts.”
So did the media heed Haros’s words, his plea?
Of course not. On a solemn day set aside to remember the victims, we saw media cartoons comparing 9/11 to the 2016 election, and a sitting Senator equate the attacks to election hacking.

Sadly for a group that views itself as tolerant and respectful, the Left will will never stop using tragedy to help drive its political narrative. It doesn’t matter to them how much “it hurts” or how disrespectful it is to the victims.
Whether it’s using a school shooting to promote gun control, a major storm to promote global warming, or a terrorist attack to promote open borders, Democrats continue to follow the advice of former Obama White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel who said, “Never let a crisis go to waste.”
