Quote of the Day: The only reason Donald Trump hasn’t been prosecuted is his race

It’s hard to know where to begin unpacking comments made on CNN last night by Angela Rye, former executive director of the Congressional Black Caucus and current liberal pundit. Among the lines that might have qualified as Quote of the Day was her observation that “Barack Obama had to be the next best thing to Jesus” or her refusal to recognize Donald Trump as the president.

The setting was a panel debate on the ongoing Russian investigation and the possibility that the Obama administration had wiretapped the Trump transition team. Rye argued that had this been Barack Obama “there would have been no end to” the wild speculation on what went down. When conservative pundit Mary Katherine Ham argued that no one should ever be OK with the possibility that the government was spying on an innocent American, Rye again turned the subject to racism.

Speaking of no chill, I don’t have any either. We’re talking about Donald Trump once again throwing a story line instead of talking about missing D.C. girls, instead of us talking about a white supremacist that killed a black man and had plans to kill more black people just because of who they were. Instead of talking about the healthcare debacle, we’re talking about something that didn’t happen that your president can’t even spell, “tap.”…

I think the bigger issue that I have, speaking of having no chill, is that if this would have been under the Obama Administration, there would be no end to this. Barack Obama had to be the next best thing to Jesus and here we are just two months in and some change there is issue after issue. Maybe it’s not Russian collusion, maybe its collusion with the Intel committee chair. But it’s highly problematic. There are skiffs on the hill this chairman could have went [sic] to to get the classified information he needed be briefed on.

I think that the bigger issue that we have here is, that in the intel committee chairman all of a sudden has forgotten what procedures he needs to undergo to study and learn and/or brief someone on classified information.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

It’s a disturbing video in that it reveals the absolute insanity that reigns within the minds of some on the Left. Rye can’t look anywhere without seeing racism. Nor can she concede that Obama, whose purity was such that it impels to border on sacrilege, ran administration was riddled with scandal. He lied to the American people as he poured billions of dollars into the coffers of the Iranian government.

Angela Rye isn’t merely mistaken; she is downright delusional.
