Last night, Hillary Clinton was joined on stage at a political rally in Cleveland by a wealthy married couple in the entertainment industry. Clinton hailed the female as “an inspiration to so many others,” the male “for addressing in his music some of our biggest challenges in the country: poverty, racism, the urgent need for criminal justice reform.” Clinton neglected to mention that the man has been helping the cause of “criminal justice reform” by quietly posting bail money for Black Lives Matter activists and that the female role model pays $6 a day to peons in her sweatshop to make her line of “empowering” sportswear.
These two pillars of the community were rap mogul Jay Z — author of some of the most obscenely sexist and violent song lyrics ever belched out — and his lovely and talented wife, Beyoncé. They were present, the New York Times reports, to help Clinton spread her liberal gospel to young black voters, whose support has been flagging. It’s hard to say whether the concert helped since — as the Times also candidly notes — dozens of the attendees headed for the exits once the music was over and the politicking began.
The rappers are not the only celebrities to come out in support of Hillary, or — to be more precise — against Donald Trump. As Breitbart notes, a group of actors and musicians (Rachel Bloom, Elizabeth Banks, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Moby, Patti LuPone, others) have released a profanity-laced music video titled “Holy Sh*t (You’ve Got to Vote)” that urges Americans to vote against the “orange talking STD.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
The song ends with a lukewarm endorsement of Clinton:
So vote for Hillary. Cause what else are you gonna do, throw your vote away on a third party? I mean, I guess you technically could, it’s your right, but still, ugh.
Ugh indeed! Here’s the video (warning: Extreme profanity):
