Columbia U. to sponsor no-whites-allowed student leadership retreat

This must be what the Left means by “racial healing.” According to The College Fix, Columbia University will be hosting a racially segregated retreat in November. Called the “Students of Color Leadership Retreat,” the event is “aimed at helping student organizational leaders better navigate the university system, enhance their programming and community building skills, better lead their respective organizations, better plan and manage events, and better collaborate with other organizations.”

Community building? Is that anything like community organizing? Whatever it is, it appears to envision a world without whitey.

In order to attend the retreat, you need to “identify as” African/African-American/Black, Latino/Hispanic, Asian/Asian-American, Pacific Islander, Arab and Middle-Eastern, Native & Indigenous, and Multiethnic/Multiracial.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Lest you think Columbia is on the cutting edge, segregation from whites has been on the rise now for at least two years. And it’s not just for college kids either: Fieldston, a private school in upsacle Riverdale, N.Y., developed a program last year that entails dividing classes by race into discussion groups so that the kids can compare and contrast grievances. The groups begin as young as age 8.

In case there are students at Columbia who are not only “of color” but LGBTQ, or some combination thereof, the school offers retreats for them too.

It’s appropriate that Columbia should call these soul-searching adventures retreats, since another meaning for that word “an act of moving back” — in this case right into the first half of the twentieth century.
