Not every defector from ISIS is beheaded; some suffer this horrific fate

“Some say the world will end in fire,/Some say in ice,” wrote Robert Frost. ISIS recently selected Door Number 2 as a means of execution for 45 of its own who deserted from the battlefield, according to the Iraqi media agency Al Sumaria News via Sputnik News.

As a warning to other prospective defectors and “to make the executions even more horrifying as a deterrent, [ISIS] … locked their defectors in a freezer for a day,” answering the cynical question “How do you make an ISISicle?” (Too soon?)

The group has been devising ever-more brutal ways of warning its fighters who might feel discouraged by the encroachment of Iraqi government forces on previously ISIS-controlled cities in Iraq.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Past methods of execution have included burning prisoners alive (Frost’s fire), drowning them in a metal cage lowered into a pool, firing a rocket propelled grenade at a car containing prisoners, and beheading them by detonating explosive cord wrapped around their necks.
