Video: Why do men beat their wives? Saudi family therapist tells all

In the U.S., domestic violence is a serious problem. But at least it’s recognized as a problem here, which is more than can be said for the Arab world.

The video below features advice from Saudi family therapist Khaled Al Saqaby, who enlarges on everything you’ve wanted to know about family relations but we’re afraid to ask … for fear you’d be beheaded if you did.

In the video (which for some reason is shot out in the woods), Saqaby explains that women whose hubbies beat them frequently have it coming to them. Why? Because they express a desire for equality.
