Protester rushes stage at Trump rally in Ohio, gets close enough to grab candidate’s leg

Anti-Trumpmania proceeds apace!

Earlier today, cincinnati.com reported that a Trump rally to be held Sunday in downtown Cincinnati had been canceled due to the Secret Service’s inability to secure the area.

A short time ago, ABC News reported that a rally this afternoon outside Dayton went ahead as planned but that a protester rushed the stage as the candidate spoke. The interloper got close enough to the candidate to grab his leg before he was subdued by the candidate’s Secret Service security detail.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

In a video capture of the incident that follows, you can see Trump wheel around suddenly as the man makes contact with him.

The protester was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and inducing panic, according to Dayton police.

“I was ready for him, but it’s much easier if the cops do it, don’t we agree?” Trump is quoted as having said to the cheering crowd.
