Hillary Clinton’s eye-opening ‘New Year’s resolution’

If you haven’t yet made your New Year’s resolution, you have less than four days as of this writing to do so before the ball drops in Times Square.

According to a fundraising email sent out by the Clinton campaign, the nation’s abuela wannabe has made hers and in the process revealed that she doesn’t know the difference between a resolution and a desire. Resolutions are promises or commitments that often involve a personal sacrifice. If your resolution, for example, is to drop a couple of pounds, you may may have to forgo that piece of cake after dinner.

Here is Hillary’s “resolution”:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Happily, she is unspecific about which presidential election she has “resolved” to win. It just so happens that the term of the current president of the Tonga National Olympic Committee is up next year. The post is currently held, moreover, by a woman, Lady Tu’ivakano, which makes it a perfect fit.
