Guess who else, like Trump (and Hitler), wanted to ban Muslims from entering U.S.

While the liberal media have been rushing to condemn Donald Trump as another Adolf Hitler for his proposal to ban the entry of Muslims into America, at least until they can be properly vetted, another more apt comparison has come to light in the person of Nobel Peace Prize-winning, former Democratic President Jimmy Carter.

In 2002, Carter, won a peace prize for his “decades of untiring effort to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts.”

You know, international conflicts like the Iranian hostage crisis.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Carter, however, seems to have taken action similar to what Trump has proposed, banning Iranians from entering the country during the crisis.

Via Front Page Magazine:

Trump is a monster, a madman and a vile racist. He’s just like Hitler. Or Jimmy Carter.

During the Iranian hostage crisis, Carter issued a number of orders to put pressure on Iran. Among these, Iranians were banned from entering the United States unless they oppose the Shiite Islamist regime or had a medical emergency.

Here’s Jimmy “Hitler” Carter saying it back in 1980.

Fourth, the Secretary of Treasury [State] and the Attorney General will invalidate all visas issued to Iranian citizens for future entry into the United States, effective today. We will not reissue visas, nor will we issue new visas, except for compelling and proven humanitarian reasons or where the national interest of our own country requires. This directive will be interpreted very strictly.

Apparently barring people from a terrorist country is not against “our values” after all. It may even be “who we are.” Either that or Carter was a racist monster just like Trump.

Not only did Carter stop the flow of Iranians into our country; he rounded up 50,000 of those already in the U.S. and had them deported if they were found in violation of their visa.

Granted there are differences in geographic profiling and religious profiling, but it’d be hard to imagine that had Trump simply suggested halting immigration from the Middle East, the media backlash would be any less severe.
