The pieces of the puzzle are coming together, and the picture is not one liberals are going to like.
According to CNN, law enforcement officials have determined that Syed Rizwan Farook, one of the two suspects killed in a shootout with police after murdering 14 people at a Christmas party at a social agency in San Bernardino, Calif., “was apparently radicalized and in touch with people being investigated by the FBI for international terrorism.”
Officials had previously indicated that neither Farook nor his wife, Tashfeen Malik, whom he met Saudi Arabia in 2013, were known to the FBI or on a list of potentially radicalized people.

Yet Farook himself had communicated by phone and via social media with more than one person being investigated for terrorism, law enforcement officials said. A separate U.S. government official said the 28-year-old has “overseas communications and associations.”
President Barack Obama finally spoke out on the shootings, Newsweek reports. Surrounded by members of his national security team, he said that the shooters perhaps had “mixed motives”:
It is possible that this was terrorist-related. But we don’t know. It’s also possible that this was work-related.
Work-related, for those who don’t speak Obamese, is a euphemism for acts of radical Islamic terrorism committed by Muslims on American soil. When army psychiatrist Nidal Hasan opened fire on dozens of people at Fort Hood in Texas in 2009, killing 13, Obama pretended that those killings, too, were driven by workplace dissatisfaction. The fact that Hasan cried Allahu Akbar as he mowed down victims seems not to have been a factor.
Another detail that emerged in CNN’s report today that is apt to irk liberals is that at least two of the weapons used in yesterday’s shootings were purchased legally — and in a state that is known for its stringent gun laws. If all the weapons used turn out to have been acquired through legal channels, the White House and so-called “elite media” will need to find another angle that fits their preconceived notions of what went down.
