Video: Girl Scouts use cookie cash to replace flags stolen from veterans’ graves

Every now and then, Barack Obama invites children to the White House to showcase what the nation’s youth can aspire to and achieve in this great country, but usually the purpose of these visits it to reaffirm the rightness of his own policies. If he is really earnest about inspiring other young Americans to selfless action, he should invite the members of Girl Scout Troop 1124 to stop by.

As NBC Los Angeles notes, the girls, upon learning last weekend that flags had been stolen from the graves of military veterans interred at Inland Empire Cemetery, spent $450 of money they had raised selling cookies to buy replacement flags in time for Memorial Day.

A video of their laudable actions appears below courtesy of Fox News. Kudos to these young ladies and their Troop leader, Cynthia Bertoldo.
