2.  That thing he said about Obama…

Reid personally apologized to President Barack Obama in 2010 for saying Obama’s “light-skin” and lack of “a Negro dialect” would help his presidential campaign in 2008. His comments were recorded in the book “Game Changer.”

“He [Reid] was wowed by Obama’s oratorical gifts and believed that the country was ready to embrace a black presidential candidate, especially one such as Obama – a ‘light-skinned’ African American ‘with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one,’ as he later put it privately.” Reid later said he “deeply regrets” using those words.
