Video purports to show the late Michael Brown violently beating and robbing an older man (Video)

A cellphone video that has gone viral shows a violent and — N.B.: profane — attack on an older black male by a large younger male that LiveLeak identifies as Michael Brown, the Ferguson, Mo., teenager who died last August following a run-in with police. A St. Louis Country grand jury elected not to indict Darren Wilson, the officer involved, which touched off a firestorm of protest against alleged police brutality and racism that continues to rage 5 months later.

In the video, a stocky young man can be seen pummeling and kicking the older man, who is then set upon by another young male. At one point, the older man appears unconscious. At the end, he struggles to his feet and staggers, somewhat uncertainly, away from the scene.

We have placed a full frontal screen cap from the video side-by-side with a still image of Brown, enabling readers to decide for themselves whether this in fact might be the same person:

Michael Brown

If the bad actor in the video is Brown, one could reasonably conclude that the borderline beatification of this adolescent by liberals and recollections of him as a “gentle giant” are over the top.
