Today the nation reflects on the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Dr. King became a great leader through his faith and non-violent protests during the civil rights era.
Dr. King’s message reminds the nation that individuals should be judged by their content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
Because of Dr. King’s bold leadership and personal sacrifice, black Americans have the opportunity to pursue the American Dream.
I am deeply grateful for Dr. King’s leadership, which has allowed me to pursue my dreams and goals.
During these troubling times, let’s hope today’s leaders will emulate Dr. King’s courage and leadership.
