Tweet of the Day: ‘Party of civility’ acts predictably at news George H.W. Bush hospitalized

As noted in LU’s headlines, former President George H.W. Bush was admitted to a Houston hospital Tuesday evening after experiencing a shortness of breath. The 90-year-old president was taken by ambulance to Houston Methodist Hospital as a “precaution,” according to a spokesman. We wish the president a full and speedy recovery, as should all Americans.

But not all Americans do — not even on Christmas Eve, when the Bible urges “peace on Earth and good will toward men.” Which is not to say that all of the ill will was directed at Bush 41. One upstanding citizen tweeted this:

Many, however, went for the jugular.

Considering that the president complained of shortness of breath, one model human being thought this would be funny:

Twitchy has much, much more for those interested in seeing how low the species is capable of reaching.
