The tweetosphere is alive today with a slew of reactions to last night’s announcement that the grand jury in Clayton, Mo., had decided not to indict officer Darren Wilson. Some of what has been posted in the last several hours is predictable, some of it less so. Much of it is sad.
Weasel Zippers provides a nice jumping-off point with knee-jerk reactions by two rich white people with a connection to show business, Michael Moore and Cher:
At some pt, it snaps. The latest unarmed black teen has 12 bullets pumped into his body & the white ppl go “doo da-doo da-doo doo doo-doo…

Have problem re decision not 2bring 2 trial,Police who shot young man near St.Louis.Something must b done 2 protect innocent young blk men
— Cher (@cher) November 25, 2014
But then this morning Cher appears to have found religion and demonstrates an unusual degree of clarity for someone who generally views life through liberal-colored glasses, tweeting:
Having said that, Violence is NOT the ANSWER ! VOTE 2Change State Laws. There Must b Change in Attitude & BALANCE In Police & Lawmakers! — Cher (@cher) November 25, 2014
OMG Nightmare! What Does Looting & Setting Fire 2Innocent Ppls Stores & Cars Have 2do W/Michael Browns Death? ITS NOT PROTEST,IT’S CRIME — Cher (@cher) November 25, 2014
And finally there are the actual victims of last night’s looting. The picture in this tweet speaks for itself.
