Halloween is the bewitching hour: Other than “Prepare to scare/amuse and be scared/laugh,” there are no rules. All’s fair in tricking and treating.
Well, for most of us anyway. According to the College Fix, the PC police at the University of Wisconsin-Madison admonished students not to wear costumes that could offend, frighten, or reinforce stereotypes:
[S]ome students were warned against donning a Hannibal Lecter-inspired straightjacket costume because it’s offensive to people who struggle with a mental illness.
