Video: Kids get high by smearing lip balm on eyelids

If the next generation is as resourceful about finding solutions to the world’s problems as it is to finding ways to get a buzz, we have nothing to fear from the future.

Some enterprising kid hit upon the idea of putting lip balm on his eyelids — and not just any lip balm, either. In order for the tingle, you need to use Burt’s Bees natural lip balm, which lends the new trend its street name, “Beezin.”

According to Fox News, some adherents to the fad claim that “Beezin” does not lead to a high of its own but only enhances the experience for those who are already drunk or high, while others insist it helps to them stay alert. The article quotes a doctor named Brett Cauthen, who cautions that “the peppermint oil in the lip balm is a very strong irritant and can cause inflammation in the eye redness of the eye swelling.”
