Kansas Jewish Center shooter: Sought public office twice as a Democrat

The individual arrested earlier this week as the suspected trigger-man behind the Kansas Jewish Centers shootings has a history of seeking public office, as reported by the The Daily Caller on April 14, 2014.

Changing political affiliations more than once, Frazier Glenn Miller, Jr. (aka “Frazier Glenn Cross”) once made a run for the U.S. Senate as a Republican but twice sought elected office as a member of the Democratic Party. In his native North Carolina, Miller initially sought public office in 1984 by running in the Democratic primary in order to change his mailing address to the North Carolina Governor’s Mansion. He failed cataclysmicly in his chase for the governorship, garnering a mere 5,790 votes out of slightly less than a million ballots cast.

Trying his luck two years later as a newly minted member of the Grand Old Party, Miller yet again failed miserably in the Republican primary for one of the Tar Heel State’s two Senate seats. Faring only slightly better, he pulled in only 6,662 out of slightly less than a quarter million votes.

The Show Me (to court) State …

Possibly believing a change in scenery would improve his chances at electability and maybe even proving once and for all that the third time really is a charm, Miller relocated to Southwest Missouri’s rural hamlet of Aurora after his completing a three year hitch in Federal prison. It was in Missouri’s 7th Congressional District that he filed the $100 fee to run for U.S. House of Representatives. But much to his chagrin, the Democratic Party refused his check.

It was then that one certain Frazier Glenn Miller, formerly of 17209 Lawrence 1220, Aurora, Missouri filed suit against the Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan in 2006. It was in U.S. District Court that Miller voiced his belief that his civil rights had been violated by the Democratic Party. He was angered that the Dems had rejected his filing fee, thus ensuring his name wouldn’t be on the ballot in the upcoming election. In the lawsuit proper, Miller accused the Donkey Party of returning his check because “it is just a pretext to exclude people who express pro-White racial viewpoints.”

The former Ku Klux Klan member lost his case on the grounds that no one that the Constitutional right to be listed by any given party on the ballot as a candidate for public office. In the wake of losing his court battle, the Miller political machine sputtered past the finishing line as a write-in Independent candidate collecting a total of 23 votes.

Background info …

The sole suspect in last Sunday’s shotgun rampage in suburban Leawood/Overton Park, Kansas, Miller reportedly shouted “Heil Hitler!” while being loaded into the back of a squad car when initially arrested. During the course of the shootings, three were killed, two others shot at but missed.
