Gynecologist arrested for taking nude photos of his patients

That’s no “pubic region,” that’s my wife! That was conceivably the reaction of residents of Paragould, Ark., regarding salacious photos of women’s nether regions found on the cell phone of a local gynecologist.

The Smoking Gun reports that Paul Becton, Jr., 68, was arrested last week after police confiscated his phone and discovered a cache of naked photos of his female patients’ intimate areas, all taken during routine office visits.

Armed with a search warrant, Arkansas State Police investigators seized Becton’s phone during an April 10….

A subsequent analysis of Becton’s phone revealed “numerous images of nude females that appear to have been taken in a medical office during medical examinations.” The photos were found “in the deleted images within the hard-drive” of the phone.

The investigation was launched after one of the doctor’s victims expressed concerns to police that he had snapped shots of her privates while she was spread-eagled on the exam table, her legs in the stirrups.

The woman’s worst fears were realized when investigators shared the contents of Becton’s phone, which included five “nude photographs” of the complainant “that were taken without her knowledge or consent.”

Becton, who maintains a private OB/GYN practice at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, has been charged with five felony voyeurism counts related to the naked images of the woman who contacted police.

bench warrant has been issued for Becton, who remains at large, according to investigators.

According to Becton’s website, he has been in practice for over 30 years and is “very knowledgeable in the latest surgical techniques and women’s health issues.” The site also contains a Notice of Privacy, which not surprisingly makes no mention of his willful violation of the same.
