Picture of the Day: Can you guess what’s going on here?

Below is one of several photos that are making the rounds (h/t Weasel Zippers). The images can be traced back to a site named Capitali$m Is Freedom. So what does this picture show? Is it “music lovers” in some American city lining up for tickets to a Beyoncé concert?

Nope. It’s people in Venezuela waiting in line to buy food. As other pictures in the series reveal, the line snakes back several miles, beginning outside of the city. According to the captions, some people waited 3 to 4 hours in line.

Study this picture closely. It embodies a spirit of community and equality that would probably appeal to America’s current president, who is pictured below warmly greeted Venezuela’s previous dictator:
