Obama’s ‘JV team’ has enough firepower ‘to occupy Baghdad’

Despite Barack Obama’s derisively equating both direct and indirect al-Qaeda affiliates as the “junior varsity,” one of those very same affiliates has enough heavy weaponry to capture the capital city of Iraq, as reported by the Houston Chronicle on Jan. 20, 2014.

In a voluminous interview with The New Yorker magazine, it was pointed out to the Commander-in-Chief that “the flag of Al Qaeda is now flying in Faluja, in Iraq, and among various rebel factions in Syria; Al Qaeda has asserted a presence in parts of Africa, too.”

With al-Qaeda-allied Islamic Jihadists a mere 25 miles from Baghdad, Obama stated with no small amount of sarcasm:

The analogy we use around here sometimes, and I think is accurate, is if a jayvee team puts on Lakers uniforms that doesn’t make them Kobe Bryant.

An Update on the JV team…

In the wake of a failed government offensive on the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant [Greater Syria] strongholds of Falujah and most of Ramadi, Iraq’s Deputy Interior Minister Adnan al-Asadi stated in a speech:

The weapons that were brought inside Fallujah are huge and advanced and frankly enough to occupy Baghdad.

Minister Asadi chose not to go into detail of what exactly ISIL was armed with, but did refer to “fierce battles” taking place in Fallujah and Ramadi.

He’s Been There, Done That…

In an interview with Fox News, political commentator Oliver North stated of Obama’s dismissive evaluation of those who’ve sworn allegiance to the al-Qaeda terror organization was a  “flippant, arrogant and ignorant comment.”

North is also a retired Lt. Colonel from the US Marine Corps. While serving in the Viet-Nam War, North was awarded the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, and the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation medals — all for personal heroism in combat.

While serving multiple combat tours, North also was awarded the Purple Heart medal twice for wounds received in combat.
