An open letter to Black America: Stay focused on Zimmerman

0331-al-sharpton-trayvon-martin.jpg_full_600Dear Black America,

You’ve been doing a great job so far and we want you to know how proud we are of you.

Despite certain people trying to distract you (and you know they really don’t care for you as we do), you kept your eyes on the prize and focused on George Zimmerman… just like you were told to do.

During the course of the trial, four black kids were murdered in Chicago (a 5-yr-old among them), but you focused on Zimmerman. Great job.

In general, homicide is the leading cause of death for black teens. The number of black adolescents murdered each year is two-and-a-half times greater than that for Latino teens, eight times greater than white teens, but you focused on Zimmerman. Great job.

Black males overall face a murder rate higher than any other group in the entire nation, but you focused on Zimmerman. Great job.

The unemployment rate for blacks is 13.7 percent, nearly twice the national average, but you focused on Zimmerman. Great job.

Joblessness among black teens is even greater, at an all time high of 43.6 percent, but you focused on Zimmerman. Great job.

Black students have the lowest graduation rate of any group in the nation, at 66.1 percent. No other race or ethnicity fails to finish school more, but you focused on Zimmerman. Great job.

Every 4.5 hours in these United States, a black commits suicide, but you focused on Zimmerman. Great job.

There are more blacks on welfare than whites for the first time ever ,with 39.8 percent of all recipients being black, but you focused on Zimmerman. Great job.

So my dear friends in Black America, you’ve collectively listened to the rhetoric for years. Keep listening. We have and shall continue to go far.

With deepest appreciation,

The Race Hustlers and Poverty Pimps everywhere.

PS: To that handful of Republican blacks, please shut up. If black Democrats start to objectively listen to you, we’ll end up unemployed forever.
