Horror story: 15-year-old girl with low IQ gang-raped in NYC school

Martin De Porres AcademyA mentally challenged 15-year-old student at a school in New York was reportedly gang-raped beneath her desk while class proceeded, according to a lawsuit filed on Friday. The Daily News reports:

[The teen], known only by the initials K.J., was allegedly orally sodomized for 10 minutes under her desk by two teenage boys, as another ‘hit her on the head whenever she tried to escape.’

The attack occurred in December at the Martin De Porres Academy, a school for special needs students located in the Elmont section of Queens.

Court documents reveal that several of the attackers attempted to sodomize the girl anally her while one of them “danced on her desk.” The girl’s attorney, Madeline Bryer, maintains that all of this occurred during science class and somehow without attracting the attention of the teacher.

K.J., who has an IQ of less than 60, was sent to De Porres by the city and was the only female in a class of 14. Her alleged attackers all live at Casa De La Salle — a residence for juvenile delinquents — and are alleged to exhibit known “violent propensities.”

Martin De Porres executive director Ed Dana insists that an internal investigation was conducted immediately after reports of the abuses surfaced and that a teacher was fired. He said in a a statement:

We want the community to know that we hold our teachers to a high standard. Our top priority is the safety and well-being of the children in our care.
