‘Are You Circumcised?’: Abdul El-Sayed’s Interview With Jesse Watters Goes Off The Rails

Democratic Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed asked Fox News host Jesse Watters point-blank Monday if he was circumcised.

El-Sayed asked the question as they debated whether trans-identifying children should be permitted to undergo sex change procedures during a segment on “Jesse Watters Primetime.”

“You think it’s okay for a parent to slash their kid’s ding-a-ling off?” Watters asked. “You think that’s okay?”

“I mean, do you really want to have this conversation? Are you circumcised?” El-Sayed asked.

El-Sayed argued conservatives were “selective” about what decisions could be made between doctors, parents and children, given that circumcision is surgery on male genitalia.

Circumcision is the removal of foreskin, while castration is the removal of the testicles, making them different procedures. Many trans-identifying people regretted undergoing these procedures, including de-transitioner Chloe Cole, who said that doctors allowed her to undergo permanent damage while she suffered from mental health issues as a minor.

El-Sayed narrowly defeated Democratic Michigan Rep. Haley Stevens in the Democratic Senate primary after receiving endorsements from independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Democratic Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib. Stevens secured endorsements from the Democratic establishment, including Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Michigan Sen. Gary Peters, South Carolina Rep. Jim Clyburn and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

El-Sayed campaigned on supporting Medicare for All, abolishing ICE, codifying abortion into law and supporting so-called “gender-affirming care,” according to his campaign website. He repeatedly argued that sex change operations and other procedures for minors should not be dictated by the government.

The further-left candidate rejected the socialist label, stating that he is a “capitalist” who wanted to regulate monopolies and oligopolies.

“El-Sayed repeatedly endorsed defunding the police,” reports CNN. “We do need to defund the police,” El-Sayed said in a 2020 radio interview.

The so-called “gender affirming care” El-Sayed supports can have serious consequences. Transgender medical procedures can harm people’s mental or physical health. 95% of young transgender people on testosterone develop pelvic floor dysfunction; most have bowel issues and sexual dysfunction. As the Telegraph reported, “Around 87 per cent…had urinary symptoms such as incontinence, frequent toilet visits and bed-wetting, while 74 per cent had bowel issues including constipation or being unable to hold stools or wind in. Some 53 per cent suffered from sexual dysfunction…Almost half had an ‘orgasm disorder’, while a quarter suffered from pain during sexual intercourse.”

Transgender treatments can lead to a lifetime of pain, discomfort, and medications. As Britain’s National Health Service explains, hormones “need to be taken for the rest of your life, even if you have gender surgery.” An FDA official who supported giving minors puberty blockers conceded that they actually increase suicidality. Indeed, the “FDA knew ‘gender affirming’ puberty blockers increase ‘suicidality’ in 2017,” reported Just the News.

Even the transgender lawyer who challenged Tennessee’s restrictions on transgender treatments for kids admitted to the Supreme Court that “completed suicide is thankfully and admittedly rare” among transgender youth, even those not given gender-affirming treatment, and that “there is no evidence…that this [transgender-affirming] treatment reduces completed suicide.” The ACLU’s Chase Strangio admitted that fact to the Supreme Court.

Yet doctors who did sex changes often falsely told parents that they needed to give their kids a sex change to keep them from committing suicide, even though this isn’t true. One of America’s most prominent gender doctors, “Dr. Olson-Kennedy disclosed to how she speaks with parents of gender dysphoric patients: ‘We often ask parents, “Would you rather have a dead son than a live daughter?’”
