They said it couldn’t be true. They said he was down for the count. But the numbers don’t lie. This morning for the first time in months, presidential hopeful Joe Biden is ahead in the RealClear Politics betting odds. What’s more is he’s.
The former vice president has received several new endorsements in the last 24 hours. Last night Amy Klobuchar, who had suspended her campaign, urged her supporters to align behind Biden. Biden also now has the backing of Pete Buttigieg and — for what it’s worth — former Senate Majority Harry Reid.
Biden’s commanding win in South Carolina seemed to make up the Democrats’ mind that this was the guy they were putting all their chips on. And, like clockwork, he proceeded to remind them of what a risky gamble that is.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Speaking in Texas, where he now trails Bernie Sanders by a hair, Biden triumphantly declared:
We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created … by … go … you know the— you know the thing.
Gives you goose bumps, no?

Later in the same speech, Biden assured the crowd of his readiness for the next big hurdle — Super … Thursday? Wait, whatchamacallit.

It’s not like this is Joe’s first rodeo. He’s been in politics his entire life and this is his third run for the presidency.
Anyway today is that day, and we’ll have to see what impact, if any, last night’s performance had on voters in the 14 states up for grabs.
