Meantime, say it ain’t so. The freshman congresswoman with a heart so big that she’s willing to fight for Trump supporters’ health care even after they chanted “AOC sucks!” has lost the good will of the people who voted for her.
The New York Post reports that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Bronx constituents are feeling disillusioned if not out-and-out abandoned by the bartender turned crusader who they sent to Washington.

Roxanne Delgado, a local activist, is quoted as saying, “I thought AOC would be our savior, but that’s not the case.” The article reveals that Delgado was trying to get her congresswoman’s help saving an animal shelter and cleaning up parks in the district.
Delgado, 40, says she has made numerous calls to Ocasio-Cortez’s offices in Washington and Queens and sent a barrage of tweets after the freshman lawmaker encouraged residents during a recent visit to a Bronx public library to hit her up on social media.
But she’s heard nothing back.
“NO email or contact on @AOC’s page except DC number which has full #voicemail and no one picks up,” Delgado tweeted on Monday.
The Post made several calls to both the Washington and Queens offices last week. The same recording at both numbers gives Ocasio-Cortez’s Web site and doesn’t allow a caller to leave a message.
Another constituent, 78-year-old Anthony Vitaliano, told the paper he has been trying to get Ocasio-Cortez’s attention with regard to getting Amtrak to clean up graffiti at property it owns in the Bronx. He was hoping to get “AOC or a representative from AOC to be” to attend a Community Board meeting held in February, but no dice.
If the neophyte, who is busy saving the nation from all its woes, doesn’t learn to budget her time to include attending to the people who voted for, her political career may be one of the shortest in history.
