There has been a fair amount of back-and-forth since Twitter increased its character limit to 280 last Tuesdays. Some users have grumble that brevity is the soul of wit, and if you can’t say what you have to in 140 characters, then what you have to say isn’t worth reading.
Others have welcomed the additional breathing room, especially after Twitter Product Manager Aliza Rosen noted in a blog post that “9% of Tweets in English hit the character limit,” which “reflects the challenge of fitting a thought into a Tweet, often resulting in lots of time spent editing and even at times abandoning Tweets before sending.”
Whichever side of the divide you find yourself on, you’ll be glad that the social media giant upped the ante when you read a pair of posts tweeted on Sunday. The first is by TV celebrity Chelsea Handler, and it addresses the sex scandal surrounding Alabama Republican Senate hopeful Roy Moore.

The second tweet is by Juanita Broaddrick, who was embroiled some years ago in her own sex scandal.

Broaddrick is correct in her presumption that Handler doesn’t “want to go there.” No one on the Left wants to go there.
