“Biden just let all of Hunter’s friends out of jail” in his recent “clemency frenzy,” releasing “unsavory characters,” says Stephen Kruiser at PJ Media. Biden did release from prison the brother of Hamas’s founder, and did grant clemency to Chinese spies.
Kruiser doesn’t point to any proof that the Chinese spies released were associates of Hunter Biden, though. Hunter did make millions off of China while his father was Vice President. NBC News reported that Hunter “Biden made $5.8 million, more than half his total earnings from 2013 to 2018, from” China — effectively from the Chinese government itself.

“Because the Biden administration doesn’t operate with an America First mindset, there was no release secured for any of the hostages being held by Hamas in exchange for the commuted sentence of the terrorist,” notes Kruiser.
Biden has paid ransoms to oppressive, anti-American countries, rewarding them for taking Americans hostage, and encouraging them to take more Americans hostage, as they did after he paid such ransoms, resulting in them holding more Americans hostage. In 2023, the Biden administration agreed to pay a $6 billion ransom to Iran in exchange for the release of five American hostages. “The United States and Iran … reached an agreement to win the freedom of five imprisoned Americans in exchange for several jailed Iranians and eventual access to about $6 billion in Iranian oil revenue,” reported the New York Times. After Biden paid this ransom, Hamas, which Iran funded, took American citizens hostage.
Russia seized two American journalists followed the Biden administration’s 2022 hostage deal with Russia, in which it released a “merchant of death” responsible for the deaths of thousands of people. In October it seized yet another American journalist, Alsu Kurmasheva, who Russia wrongly holds along with the Wall Street Journal’s Evan Gershkovich. As The Guardian notes, Russia’s “espionage charges against” Evan Gershkovich “are widely viewed as spurious and an effort to blackmail Washington into releasing Russian prisoners, including spies and financial criminals with ties to powerful figures in Russia.”
Joe Biden effectively helped Hunter peddle influence by bringing him on an official visit by Biden acting on behalf of the U.S. government:
Hunter Biden’s laptop yielded other evidence that Joe Biden was complicit in his son’s influence peddling, as the New York Post had earlier reported.
After Hunter Biden left his laptop containing embarrassing files at a Delaware repair shop and then forgot about it, the media falsely implied in the days before the 2020 election that the laptop was not his, despite Hunter’s later admission that the laptop “certainly” could be his. NPR falsely claimed that Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop was “discredited by U.S. intelligence and independent investigations by news organizations,” before correcting that erroneous claim after the election.
Joe Biden’s brother also got tons of money from foreign sources due to his being Joe Biden’s brother.
